Dramatically incorporated into the mangroves on the Island of Gaya just off the coast of Borneo. The spa boasts luxurious open air treatment bales, 6 treatment villas and a tiered yoga theatre fringed by golden sands and rocky outcrops. Sabahan culture takes centre stage in our treatment programme curated to preserve and protect local indigenous healing rituals. From conception to opening this project was exotic and challenging!

** My favourite project highlight- hiking through the jungles to locate the mythical gentleman distilling rare essential oils in the forest. We found him and he now contributes greatly to the colourful spa offering.
